I’ve known Dan for many years, and I have much respect for him.  He served his country in Vietnam as an officer and was awarded the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Soldiers Medal among others and that tells me who he is.  Knowing that suicide was a problem for veterans and families, he has been working to simplify the national suicide hotline, working through Oregon Senator Merkley’s office. Impressive!  He has served on various local boards and committees, working to better our community and he has been effective in doing so. People often  tend to only discuss issues, but Dan is a doer.  He will get things done.
